Sustainability Consultant

At Green Hive, we're looking for an experienced consultant with a strong understanding of sustainability who can advise the company on best practices while also contributing significantly to the website’s content and partners’ selection. Your responsibilities will be split into four categories: directory, content, and app database.

Directory

• Identify the appropriate framework for determining if a company is sustainable.
• Consult about which brands should be included in the directory, we currently have a list of 280 brands to double-check.
• Input and suggestions on how to improve brand pages, particularly what to include and how to include it.
• Consult on specific verticals (for example, children's products, home products, etc.) and identify potential companies to add.
  

Content

• Brainstorm and produce articles related to sustainability in the consumer goods market. (ex. what makes a product sustainable?)
• Oversee content creation, particularly for informational articles. (ex. Is Meat Sustainable? Climate Change and the Need for Plant-Based Diets).
• Verify that the content is accurate.
• Create a footprint calculator for the average consumer.

• Suggestions for database creation
• Identify a framework for sustainability score
• Brainstorm ways to make the information in the directory usable in the app.
  

• +2 years of sustainability consulting experience
• Excellent communication skills to rationally explain, explore and discuss environmental issues, as well as to propose your ideas and services.
• Knowledge of environmental issues, but also technological solutions, and relevant environmental legislation, policy, and guidance.
• Excellent command of the English language, especially the rules of syntax, punctuation, and grammar
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to break down complex concepts
• Excellent time management and the ability to stick to deadlines
• Good observation skills and keen attention to detail
